Liquidity providers to the Root Finance lending platform are paid by borrowers for providing their tokens for loans.
The charts provided show the history of the APY earned by depositors (or paid by borrowers).
The borrow APY (red) is inverted for illustration purposes.
In addition to the APYs, the total supply and borrows are shown on the chart.
They represent the total amount of the respective token supplied or borrowed on Root Finance.
This allows to understand if changes in APR are driven by changes in supply, borrows, or both.
